UNICAM hosts KreativEU Info Day

The University of Camerino (UNICAM) hosted the KreativEU Info Day on 11 March at the Benedetto XIII Auditorium, bringing together rectors, delegates and institutional representatives from the Alliance’s eleven partner universities.

The event was organised as part of UNICAM’s active role in KreativEU – Knowledge and Creativity European Universities and offered an opportunity to present the Alliance’s ongoing activities, work packages and shared objectives.

The programme was coordinated by Professor Renato De Leone, UNICAM Institutional Coordinator for KreativEU and Delegate of the Rector for International Mobility and Cooperation. Opening remarks were delivered by Professor Graziano Leoni, Rector of the University of Camerino, and Professor Emanuele Tondi, Deputy Rector. João Freitas Coroado, President of KreativEU, and Célio Gonçalo Marques, Secretary General, then introduced the Alliance and its strategic vision.

The event also featured presentations from the partner universities, both in person and online, including guests such as Ioan Corneliu Sălișteanu, Rector of Universitatea Valahia Târgoviște (VUT), and Silviu Marian Miloiu, Professor at the same university. The programme continued with an overview of UNICAM’s contribution to the Alliance and a poster session on the current KreativEU work packages.

“KreativEU is a truly important achievement,” said Professor Graziano Leoni, Rector of UNICAM. “It is an alliance that aims to make participating universities more open and innovative, while creating a true European University centred on the creative potential of Europe’s rich cultural heritage.”

“The Camerino Info Day was a very important day for KreativEU,” said Professor Renato De Leone, UNICAM Institutional Coordinator for KreativEU. “It gave us the opportunity to present the European University project we are building together, with a strong focus on the preservation and enhancement of cultural heritage.”
