UNICAM BIP on Machine Learning: Mathematical Aspects, Techniques and Applications

16 Feb 2026 - 20 Feb 2026

From February 16 to 20, 2026, the University of Camerino will organize the second edition of the Blended Intensive Program (BIP) titled “Machine Learning: Mathematical aspects, techniques, and applications”, an Erasmus+ initiative designed for graduate and PhD students and open also to professors and academic staff.

The program awards 3 ECTS credits (to be approved) and combines preparatory virtual activities with an in-person intensive week. Its main goal is to provide solid foundations in Machine Learning, with particular attention to mathematical aspects, core techniques, and real-world applications across different fields, encouraging collaboration among participants from diverse academic backgrounds.

The on-site activities will include lectures, project discussions, presentations of Machine Learning applications, and seminars on recent or emerging techniques. Participants will work in groups on a final project and present their results at the end of the program. Students interested in showcasing a specific Machine Learning application are also encouraged to contribute with dedicated presentations.

The virtual component will offer access to selected recorded lectures and a preliminary meeting introducing the structure and objectives of the program before the in-person session.

The BIP will be activated upon reaching the minimum requirement of 10 students participating with Erasmus+ financial support from their home universities. Accommodation costs are borne by participants, while reservations will be arranged by the organizing office.

This program offers an important international learning opportunity for students interested in strengthening their knowledge and practical skills in Machine Learning within a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment.
