EU Budget 2028–2034: Strong Support for Education and Culture

28 Jul 2025 - 28 Jul 2025

The European Commission has proposed a new long-term budget for 2028–2034, with a strong focus on education, youth, and cultural heritage. This is great news for universities and our alliance KreativEU.

More Opportunities for Students

The Erasmus+ programme will receive €41 billion, its biggest budget yet. This means more students and staff will be able to study, train, and collaborate across Europe. The programme will also become more inclusive, helping people from all backgrounds take part.

Culture and Heritage in the Spotlight

A new initiative called AgoraEU will invest €9 billion in culture, media, and European values. It aims to protect Europe’s cultural diversity and support creative industries. For KreativEU, which puts cultural heritage at the heart of education, this opens exciting possibilities for joint projects, research, and innovation.

A Shared European Vision

This budget shows that the EU sees education and culture as key to its future. As part of KreativEU, our university will continue to help shape a creative, connected, and inclusive Europe.
